Jokic blamed himself for the Nuggets seventh loss

Denver – After the Denver Nuggets’ best season in a decade, Nikola Jokic blamed the Portland Trail Blazers for the loss of Game 7. Despite 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks, Jokic accused himself of losing 100-96 at home. He made 7 of 10 shots in the fourth quarter and had one of two free throws. 11.4 seconds and Denver ranked third in the Western Conference Semifinals.

“They see me as a leader. They think I am their best player,” Yorkie said after the game. “So yes, I missed the free throws near the end. In Portland, we overtime four times. I missed a lot of other shots. I should have made some.” In his first postseason, Jokic became the best big man in the NBA playoffs. He averaged 24.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. Sometimes San Antonio and Portland didn’t get a 7-footer answer.

“I asked Nikola Jokic to take responsibility for the loss there,” Denver coach Michael Malone said after the seventh game. “It’s not his fault. It’s a collective effort. I think the cumulative effect of the 14 playoffs and we asked him to do as much as he can to do what he wants tonight.”

Jokic had four triple-doubles in four overtime games in the third game, including 33 points, 18 rebounds, and 14 assists. The big man played 65 minutes, which is the most playoff time in the shooting era…

“I hope that after 14 playoff games, the United States, everyone in the world watching the playoffs, really began to appreciate the game of Nikolay,” Malone said. “The playoffs debuted, with an average of three double-doubles in 14 games and nearly 40 minutes per night. He can be said to be the best big man in the NBA.”

In the seventh game, the Nuggets made only 2 of 19 three-pointers, and Jokic was the only Nuggets to make two three-pointers. Jamal Murray scored 17 points on 4 of 18 shots. Gary Harris scored 15 points on 7 of 11 shots.

The Nuggets will enter the offseason, although they beat the opponent 3 to 3 at home, still can not enter the Western Conference finals.

“You want to look at it in a positive way, but when you know you can beat a team and lose the game, it’s hard,” Murray said. “This is very difficult.”
