Leveraging the wrath of The Hobbit films , Warner Bros. is set to launch this year a new game based on the universe of The Lord of the Rings. Just just started in 2014 but the gaming community has already agreed that the most spectacular game we’ve seen in this year’s Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor , an adventure open world set in the universe of The Lord of the rings (in fact the story takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring). In this game we interpret Talion, a ranger of Gondor murdered that comes back to life to avenge his own death and has everything you expect from a game of this style: exploration, combat and murder from hidden points.

In this way we can move between the physical world and the world of Wraith (the world we see when Bilbo and Frodo get the One Ring) being able to identify the enemies we’re watching.

The game looks really great but many agreed it looks like an Assassin’s Creed set in Middle-earth . One of those who agreed with this is Charles Randall, one of the developers of Assassin’s Creed II, which directly accused the creators of Shadow of Mordor to steal animations of his game and so far have not received a reply. Middle-earth : Shadow of Mordor is being developed by Monolith Productions and will be available for Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One The game does not have a specific release date but is expected to be released during 2014.
