COVID and HOLIDAYS ABROAD: NEW RULES to move to EUROPE
Summer , time for holidays, not only in Italy, even abroad. There are many, indeed many, who choose international destinations to spend a period of vacation and relaxation, even in times of pandemic . But how should one behave between green passes , boarding passes , passports, identity cards and reservations, in times of COVID?
To avoid unnecessary problems at the time of departure or anxieties about any unforeseen events, it is good to be aware of all the rules for travel abroad , not only with regard to Italian travel regulations, but also and above all for those of other countries , since each nation has its own rules.
In this regard, the Farnesina has already warned that any movement may involve a health risk , regardless of the reason for the trip or the destination to which one is headed. A good rule of thumb is to consult the Viaggiaresicuri website , which presents all the news on the status of countries.
Let’s give some examples: if you choose to vacation in Spain, Greece and Croatia, what do you need to know? From 1 July 2021, Croatia accepts the Green Pass . Despite this, it is necessary to inquire further as there is a specific legislation for each type of vaccine. In general, you need the Green Pass, or certify that you have been vaccinated , that you have had COVID and that you have not been in contact with positive cases. Another possibility is the antigen test to be done within 48 hours before departure or molecular , up to a maximum of 72 hours before the trip.
In Greece ? To enter the Hellenic country and not get stuck at the airport, you need to fill in the specific Passenger locator form . Once this is done, the QR Code is sent directly to the traveler to start the journey. Same rules for Spain , where the Green Pass is valid for anyone who has the second dose of vaccine for 14 days , has recovered from COVID in the last 6 months or has had a molecular or antigenic swab at most 72 hours before departure.
In this case, you must fill out a specific form for this country and it is advisable to inform yourself in time about all the rules for traveling, in order to avoid unnecessary problems, delays or inability to leave. The form can also be filled in via the APP and must be shown upon arrival.
It should also be remembered that even in the Iberian nation, at least in some areas, the curfew and rather stringent restrictions on nightlife and nighttime (and sometimes daytime) activities are back in force.
